Democrats practicing for the Congressional Baseball Game scheduled for Thursday night prayed for their Republican counterparts after at least five people were injured as they prepared for the charity game Wednesday, reported the Washington Examiner.

Rep. Jared Huffman tweeted that the Democratic baseball team was practicing when the news broke.
“We’re safe & with police, everyone praying for GOP colleagues, staff and Cap police,” he wrote.
Rep. Nanette Barragan said practice had been “shut down.”
