Several pedestrians have been reported dead and many injured after being hit by a van in London’s Finsbury Park section outside a mosque of prayers returning from Ramadan services.
Eyewitness accounts say the van veered off the road largecrowds outside Finsbury Park Mosque but it was unclear whether the collision was deliberate or a terror attack.
“Officers are on the scene with other emergency services,” said a police spokesperson. “There are a number of casualties being worked on at the scene. There has been one person arrested.”
This comes weeks after three ISIS supporters rammed a van into pedestrians on London Bridge before going on a knife rampage through Borough Market, killing eight people before being shot dead by armed police.
