UPDATE: Dr. Charles Neustein, 93, has been found after a harrowing all night search which included a helicopter search.

Neustein was found at the Spook Rock Industrial Park by a UPS driver, who in turn notified a worker at that location. That party called Ramapo Police Department who responded and called for an ambulance. Dr. Neustein was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

The police and family thank everyone who assisted with searching for Dr. Neustein. Dr. Neustein is retired pediatrician, who was well loved by his community in Linden, NJ.


ORIGINAL STORY

The Ramapo police department is currently searching for Charles Neustein, a 93 year old male who suffers from Alzheimer’s.

Neustein was last seen at the Fountainview Senior Living Community off College Road in Monsey at approximately 330pm this afternoon.

The nursing home says that Charles likes to take walks but he usually takes short walks and is back within half an hour. He hasn’t been missing now for almost 6 hours.

Attached are some pictures of Charles Neustein. The picture of him wearing a yarmulke is of surveillance footage from the Fountainview center taken this afternoon and it is believed that Charles is still wearing the same clothing.

Ramapo Police Department has several units in the area searching as well as the Ramapo PD K9 Unit, Palisades Interstate Park Police K9, Rockland County Helicopter and members of Rockland Chaverim. The helicopter will be flying at a low altitude and may be using a spot light.
