President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump stand with vice president Mike Pence and his wife Karen during a moment of silence to remember the victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas, on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, Monday, Oct. 2, 2017.
Earlier today in a solemn statement from the White House’s Diplomatic Reception Room, Trump said the country was united “in sadness, shock and grief. We cannot fathom their pain, we cannot imagine their loss,” Trump said of those who lost loved ones in the Las Vegas massacre.
In a tweet earlier Monday, Trump sent his “warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting.”
My warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting. God bless you!
