A terrorist stabbed an Israeli civilian to death in the settlement of Har Brahkha in Ariel in Samaria, Israel.

Magen David Adom medics administered CPR on scene before evacuating him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. He had been stabbed multiple times on his upper body.

The terrorist managed to flee the scene after the attack. Reports are that an IDF officer who witnessed the attack used his car to ram the terrorist twice, but both times the terrorists managed to get up and he eventually fled the scene.

The victim has been identified as Itamar Ben-Gal, a 40-year-old resident of Har Bracha, in Samaria. Ben-Gal is a father of four who recently celebrated the Bris of his son. He is said to be a beloved teacher in his community.

Israel’s Walla! reported that after the victim was stabbed, he stumbled to a bus and banged on the door for help. Witnesses said he said. “Pigua, Pigua (terror attack, terror attack), they  stabbed me,” Moments later the man collapsed.

Israeli security forces are searching a local Arab village near Arie for the terrorist in the Monday afternoon attack, the Israel Defense Forces spokesman said. Surveillance footage captured the attack and the IDF was able to get closeups of the terrorist.

The attacker’s backpack was found on the scene containing a change of clothes and his identification card, as well as personal items.
