In a heated exchange on the Piers Morgan Show, pro-Israel influencer Emily Austin took The Young Turks host and founder Cenk Uygur to school. Uygur argued that Israel is persecuting “Palestinians” occupying their land and not agreeing to a two-state solution.

Austin, known for her vocal support of Israel, argued passionately about the situation in Gaza, stating, “Hamas has ruined Gaza. There is no peace with terrorists!”

Uygur, who has expressed critical views on Israel in the past, found himself at odds with Austin’s clear-headed stance on the issue.

Emily was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Israeli parents and grew up on Long Island, New York. She went to North Shore Hebrew Academy for high school, graduating in 2019, and then attended Hofstra University to study journalism. Austin’s parents are secular Jews, but she decided to keep kosher at a young age. She has visited Israel since her youth and follows Jewish traditions such as keeping kosher, making Kiddush, lighting Shabbat candles, and not working on Shabbat.
