According to The Daily Mail, the couple were joined by their children and Jared’s brother, Joshua Kushner and flanked by Secret Service agents on the half mile walk.
Shavuot is a two-day holiday that began at sundown on Tuesday and lasts through Thursday, marking the day that the Torah was given to the Jewish people on Mount Sinai.
On the first day of the half a mile trip, the Kushner children had fidget spinners to keep them busy on the walk there and back, however on the second day they were spotted with scooters.
After synagogue services on the second day of Shavout, Ivanka and the children headed back home with Jareds brother, Josh kushner, while Jared set off for the White House, walking the mile-and-a-half trek. Kushner was unable to cancel the pre-arranged meeting with an “out of towner”, the Daily News reported.
Kushner was reportedly at the White House on Thursday – the second day of the Shavuot holiday – while the president made the announcement that he would pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord. While Kushner had reportedly opposed the president’s decision to pull out of the accord, he was reportedly actively involved in the planning behind the Rose Garden address, Bloomberg’s News reported.
