“The Art of the Deal” was not the only book that Rodman brought from the leader, he also brought a “Where’s Waldo?” book and two NBA basketball jerseys which the former NBA star autographed.
Rodman landed in North Korea on Tuesday – the same day that North Korean officials releasing comatosed US citizen, 22 year old, Otto Warmbier after he was detained for 17 months.
Rodman has said his visit is not tied at all to Trump administration, although Rodman is a friend of Trump and was a contestant on Trump’s reality show, “The Celebrity Apprentice”.
Rodman said he is in North Korea to meet with North Korean Olympic athletes. In a video of Rodman meeting with the athletes he told them, “All of you guys should be proud of yourselves, because, you know, a lot of people don’t give you guys credit, because this is such a small country, and not many people from North Korea can compete around the world,” Rodman said to the athletes. “But for you guys to come back here in your country, with a medal, that says a lot about North Korea, because people don’t really take North Korea so seriously about sports or anything like that.”
