COMMUNICATED CONTENT:
The RNSP serves the community through any or a combination of its 4 divisions: The Rapid Response Team, Night Patrol, Security Alerts Department, and RNSP Tech Squad.RAPID RESPONSE TEAM:
This is a special segment of the RNSP that works side by side with the NYPD and NCPD. RNSP units are embedded throughout the neighborhoods that the organization serves, so urgent matters, especially crimes in progress, are responded to within just a few minutes. In case of an emergency, complainants are advised to first call 911 and then the RNSP’s 24 hour Hotline: (516-858-7300) Rapid response team units are also trained to execute coordinated and uncoordinated missing person searches, water rescues, home/auto lockouts, and counter-terrorism efforts.
NIGHT PATROL:
Every night, the RNSP has marked cars which patrol Far Rockaway, Bayswater, and the Five Towns, making sure that the streets are safe. These volunteers patrol the streets at set times during the early night hours and other strategically set times that are needed. Thanks to the ethnic diversity of the volunteers, patrols are active 365 nights a year. They are routinely briefed on criminal activity patterns, and their patrol tours are adjusted accordingly.
SECURITY ALERTS DEPARTMENT:
Regular security alert updates are disseminated via email, advising the citizens of Far Rockaway, Bayswater and the Five Towns of criminal activity around the area. Other communications in the way of public safety and crime prevention education are sent through this system. Messages are sent out to the general public through email, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
RNSP TECH SQUAD:
Throughout Far Rockaway, Bayswater, and the Five Towns, there are many cameras situated on private property, aimed toward the streets. Video surveillance proactively deters crime and reactively helps the RNSP work in tandem with the police in solving past crimes. Tech Squad units have traced stolen devices, stopped shoplifting, home-based robberies (ie: housekeepers stealing from employers), and helped arrest car thieves and burglars. The Tech Squad actively assists detectives in investigations of wanted criminals.
These are some of the many things that the RNSP does for our community. These services are rendered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
This organization is a registered non for profit, 501c3 with the state of NY. All the selfless work that is done by our volunteers, day and night while everyone else is sleeping, is done with the selfless hearts and complete dedication of our members, who are community members themselves.
