One of seven siblings, Aviyashar served as a teacher in the IDF Education Corps and later received her graduate degree in philosophy, economics and political science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

“Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, even a little, fell in love with her smile, and the simple and natural joy that she radiated,” Aviyashar’s family said in a statement. “She was bright and brilliant; she could play any instrument and sang so beautifully. She loved nature and hiking, loved people, loved and enjoyed life.”
