Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sarah, paid a visit to a Golani IDF where they met a lone soldier from South Africa named Benjamin Burns.

Burns thought it would be a nice surprise to have Netanyahu make a surprise call to his mother so he asked the PM if he would oblige him. Netanyahu was happy to do so and called the mother.

Burns got his mother on the phone and said: “Hello Ma, I have someone who wants to speak to you”

“Who is it? You are making me nervous,” the mother replied.

“You have a great son,” Netanyahu told Burn’s mother. “And you’re a great and courageous mother.”

The Prime Minister’s wife said that she “admired” Nikki’s courage in allowing her son to go to Israel to enlist as a lone soldier.

“We’re very proud of him and of you,” Netanyahu told the mother.
