Bruce Paddock, 58, the brother of Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock was taken into custody on Wednesday morning by the LAPD, on suspicion of crimes related to child pornography, according to authorities.

Bruce Paddock is no stranger to the justice system and has a long rap sheet of crimes which include arson, vandalism, petty theft, housebreaking, DUI, driving on a suspended license and contempt.

Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, the patriarch of the family, also had a long history of crime. He was a bank robber and prison escapee, who was famous for making the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. At the time, the FBI wanted poster cautioned that the father had been diagnosed as psychopathic and “should be considered armed and very dangerous.”

On the night of Oct. 1, Bruce Paddock’s older brother, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock fired on a concert crowd from his hotel room in Las Vegas. Paddock killed 59 people in the meticulously planned attack and wounded 500 more more before shooting and killing himself. His motivation for the horrific crime, which will go down in history as America’s largest mass shooting, remains a mystery, police say.
