New video from the day a gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shows a sheriff’s deputy, the only armed security officer on campus, remained outside instead of going in to confront the shooter.

The video’s release comes a day after thousands of students walked out of their classrooms to mark one month’s passing since the shooting.
