Linda Sun, a former top aide to New York Governor Kathy Hochul, has been arrested by the FBI and charged with acting as an undisclosed agent for the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Communist Party, according to a recent indictment.

United States Attorney Breon Peace stated, “The defendant and her husband actively worked to advance the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP. This illicit scheme enriched the defendant’s family by millions of dollars. Our Office will take decisive action against those who serve as unregistered agents of a foreign government.”
