Air Canada has extended its cancellation of flights to Israel until August.

According to the airline, the next flight from Toronto to Ben Gurion is scheduled for August 6, while flights from Montreal are slated for August 12. Affected customers on flights between now and August 5 will have the option to rebook alternate flights if available, obtain a travel credit, or receive a full refund.

“We remain in contact with the Canadian government,” Air Canada said on its advisory site. “We continue to closely monitor the situation and will adjust our plans accordingly.”

Service briefly resumed in early April after a six-month pause due to the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas. However, days later, an Iranian missile barrage on Israel prompted Air Canada to initially suspend flights until July. That leaves El Al as the only carrier to offer direct flights between North America and Israel after United Airlines announced last week that it has canceled all its flights until June.

Meanwhile, UK low-cost carrier easyJet has cancelled all Israel flights until the end of October, and Wizz Air is operating flights on a greatly reduced schedule. Air India is scheduled to resume flights to Israel next week.
