The plague of antisemitism reared its ugly head again over the weekend. after an anti-Israel mob protested outside a Los Angeles synagogue housing a Jewish day school

Harrowing footage captured the provocateurs surrounding the Shaarey Zedek Congregation in Valley Village, bombarding it with chants of “Free Free Palestine!” and “Israel, Israel what do you say? How many kids did you kill today?”

As the protest converged, terrified Jewish parents and residents mobilized across the street to form a barrier protecting the synagogue and shielding their children inside the adjoining school from the malicious onslaught, according to local news station KTTV-11.

Recently, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued a damning audit confirming Los Angeles as one of America’s antisemitic capitals since Hamas’ massacre against Israel on October 7. The data reveals a staggering 503 recorded anti-Jewish incidents in the metro, a record-shattering 112% spike from just the same time period last year.

“These are not just record-setting figures, they are record-shattering numbers. And this modern day plague of antisemitism,” ADL Los Angeles Regional Director Jeffrey I. Abrams said.

“It has infected every element of our society, from college and university campuses to K-12 schools to Jewish institutions such as synagogues and schools, and even to Jewish-owned businesses.”
