An antisemitic assailant approached a 65-year-old man on the Upper East Side in broad daylight, snarling, “Hitler was right,” before spitting in his face, according to police.

The unprovoked attack occurred at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and East 68th Street, authorities reported.

“Should I slap you or punch you?” the attacker allegedly threatened before pulling down the victim’s face mask and spitting in his face, police said. The assailant then fled toward Madison Avenue.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD on Tuesday shows the suspect — described as having a medium complexion and last seen wearing black pants, a black hat, and a multicolored shirt — walking down the street. The attacker remains at large.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries, police said.
