A closer examination of Ilhan Omar’s primary victory on Tuesday reveals a politician whose anti-Israel rhetoric continues to find support, despite setbacks for her fellow “Squad” members.

In Minnesota’s Democratic primary, Omar secured a resounding win with 56.2% of the vote, steamrolling over her more moderate opponent, Don Samuels. This victory comes in stark contrast to recent defeats suffered by fellow squad members like Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman, signaling a troubling entrenchment of radical antisemitic views in certain Democratic strongholds.

Omar’s political resilience is particularly concerning given her history of “controversial” statements regarding Israel and American foreign policy. Despite being removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee last year for her inflammatory remarks, Omar’s constituents seem unfazed by her anti-Israel crusade.

At the time, Omar stated that the reason for her removal was a series of past statements she made in 2019 and 2021 that were openly antisemitic. These included comments about pro-Israel lobbying in the US and remarks that accused Jewish Americans of having dual loyalty.

The congresswoman’s depravity was on full display in 2021 when she equated Israel and the US with Hamas and the Taliban. Just a few months ago, Omar showed a picture of Syrian children killed by President Bashar al-Assad’s use of nerve gas but claimed that they were Gazan kids.

As Omar prepares for what is likely to be an easy general election victory, her continued presence in Congress poses a not-so-welcome challenge to Israel’s much-needed Democratic support.

What do expect from an ugly faced Muslim but hatred connected with Israel? Her pig-faced partner Rashid hasn’t been in the news lately and for good reason. The Jews In Name Only must’ve voted for her too. Sad that the US Congress has to have such garbage within their midst
