Netanyahu emphasized that Israel had “degraded Hezbollah’s capabilities” and claimed responsibility for the deaths of thousands of Hezbollah fighters, including longtime leader Hassan Nasrallah, his successor, and the successor’s replacement. He characterized Hezbollah as weaker than it has been in years.

The prime minister concluded by calling for unity in Lebanon, saying the people deserved “tranquility” and a future free from Hezbollah’s influence. “Free your country from Hezbollah so that future generations can live in peace,” he urged.
