Hamas has released a propaganda video showing two Israeli hostages, Elkana Bohbot and Yosef-Haim Ohana, who have been held in the Gaza Strip for 535 days since their abduction on October 7, 2023.

While the footage shows both men alive and speaking on camera, their families have requested that no images or video content be published in the media at this time.

Yosef-Haim Ohana, 25, (left) was attending the Nova music festival near Reim when Hamas terrorists attacked. He was captured after helping evacuate wounded people to medics and ambulances. His family had no information about his fate for two weeks following the attack, with his status initially listed as missing.

Elkana Bohbot, 35, was working at the Nova music festival when he was abducted. His last communication with family occurred at 8:05 a.m. on October 7, when he informed them he was helping evacuate people from the site. By 10:00 a.m. that same day, Hamas had already released initial footage showing Bohbot in Gaza bound, beaten and with visible facial injuries. Bohbot’s wife Rivka, who immigrated from Colombia in 2016, remains waiting for his return along with their 4.5-year-old son, Raam David

Israeli officials have consistently condemned Hamas’s practice of releasing videos of hostages, describing it as psychological warfare designed to inflict additional emotional trauma on the captives’ families.
