A terrorist shooting attack just south of Jerusalem on Tuesday afternoon resulted in two IDF soldiers being injured, reports Arutz Sheva.
The shooting occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. near the Gush Etzion Junction and Oz VeGaon, targeting a group of Israeli soldiers. Early investigations suggest the attacker fired at close range, directly hitting one soldier in the chest. A second soldier was injured by shrapnel in the shoulder. With remarkable strength, one of the soldiers managed to shoot back and kill the terrorist.
Emergency services from Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah rushed to the scene to provide immediate care to the injured before they were transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for further treatment.
Officials from Shaare Zedek later shared that among the two injuries, one was serious but in stable condition, while the other had minor injuries.
