An AI advocacy project Group has brought the testimonies of surviving October 7 hostages to real life.

Throughout the current tense ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, the Rosenbaum Communications Group will post a new AI testimony video in an effort to expose the barbarity of Iran’s terror proxy and to be a voice for the remaining abused hostages suffering in Gaza.

“We’ve reached the moment of truth – the one where the fate of the hostages who wither away in Hamas tunnels is decided: life or death. The Remember project, done in cooperation with the hostage survivors, launches today to convey a concise and clear message to all world leaders, including our very own in Israel, on the implications if the negotiations fall through,” Project creator Ofer Rosenbaum said.

“We thank the hostage survivors for their contribution, despite their difficulties, to returning those left behind back to Israel.”

The first AI video testimony released belongs to 12-year-old Eitan Yahalomi who was released from Hamas captivity during a temporary ceasefire in November.

On October 7, Eitan along with his mother and two sisters were abducted by Hamas terrorists from their home in kibbutz Nir Oz. Eitan’s injured father was forced to remain in the house with his captors, only having a moment to express his love as the family was led away.

Eitan was put onto one motorcycle, while his mother and sisters were forced onto another. As they sped towards Gaza’s border, the terrorists noticed an IDF tank and panicked. Amid the chaos, the motorcycle carrying the girls crashed, enabling them to escape the horrors that Eitan would have to endure in Gaza.

AI does not transport the REAL TRUTH – I don’t like it being used at all – I feel deceived, because I cannot get my own opinion anymore to he facts – they are hidden and probably perverted by any agenda as wished – HOW can one build TRUST and own decisions on this??

I agree they will say jts fake, nit a good idea to do it eith AI

    Channah July 9, 2024 3:15 am

xara. Your oblivious or perhaps Jew Hatred is embarrassing for anyone with a spark of humanity. Must I say “ what more proof do you need to get my own opinion” and “ build my trust” than a child being kidnapped and taken hostage? I guess real documentation, proof, written testimony terrorist testimony , visual testimony isn’t effective for you “ to build trust” because you are a self proclaimed and self evident Jew hater. What bloody “ agenda” are you referring to!? An agenda to create awareness to release hostages???? That’s an agenda?

I see nothing but normal “still pictures” on a video. Even before you open the comments it’s made to sound like this will expose. What exactly are you exposing. Or is this to make sales on grief

I must say that I’m not thrilled about this AI initiative. Antisemites and anti-Israel protestors are already claiming we are making up stories. AI will confirm that for them.

Also, dubbing the testimony in English will further justify their claims. What 12-year old Israeli kid will use the word “compiled”???

I am all for raising awareness, but it MUST be done with the victims’ actual voices and in their native language (with subtitles). If you want to intersperse video of them with AI images, that’s one thing. But completely AI and with dubbed voices? You’re just asking the haters to call us liars, as you can see from some of the other comments here.

This was an extremely stupid idea that was not thought through. How can an entirely artifically generated video be considered a ‘chilling testament’. It’s the equivalent to someone standing in court with a realistic recreation of their account of events, and insisting people be moved by his words and images as opposed to facts.

Did’nt watch it, but what a horrible idea. Why on earth would we use AI when the truth is so terrible by itself? Already people say we use fakes and propaganda. I’m very disappointed in this.

    SR July 9, 2024 8:51 am

I agree with all the posts above questioning this. Why are you boasting of using AI!?!

Betina from Israel July 9, 2024 9:23 am

Not a good idea. Why use AI??? Reality is the ONLY way to tell the truth: filmed statements and testimonials, interviews, real footage, real people. This is not the way. This is the way THE OTHER SIDE tells their stories! As an Israeli, I want the facts to be told, shown, documented in a reliable way. This will backfire on us!

    Sarah July 9, 2024 10:45 am

I agree with everyone here. Hamas have been posting AI pictures on facebook and I always comment that its not real.
Channa I think you have misunderstood Anguri.
Like everybody we dont trust a lot of information except real life testimonies of the victims. I read that Israelis want an investigation into what went wrong on Oct 7.
World governments are not to be trusted.

What kind of idiocy prompted them to use Artificial Intelligence to recreate the abduction of Israeli hostages? And BRAG about it as if it’s some kind of admirable achievement???
Oh yes, during a war which has been characterised by lies and deception, let’s throw a load of AI creations to win over more sympathy??
In this post truth world, I think this is a preposterous act, and will play into the hands of those who will use this as evidence to further slur the testimonies.
It’s difficult for all of us to sift through information and determine which of it is genuine.
I’m against this venture and I wish the Israelis would condemn it and prevent further exposure.
It is corrosive and damaging to credibility and Israeli integrity.

Great post! More visuals or infographics could enhance the overall understanding and engagement of the content.
