The footage shared by Eitan Levi’s family captures the horrific aftermath of his abduction. It shows Eitan’s lifeless body carelessly thrown in a car trunk, then dumped on the ground where Gazans viciously kick him.
“With great pain and mainly fears to expose the trauma we went through, we decided to share and release the video of his abduction,” the family stated. “The proof that there is no innocent civilian in Gaza. 43 weeks later, we are still living in indescribable suffering. 115 hostages have been left behind. It’s time to bring them all home.”
Many shocked users commented on the sickening video, which was first shared with permission on activist Yoseph Haddad’s Instagram.
“Kicking a dead body has to be the most cowardly thing a man can do. So vile,” one user wrote, while another said, “Stand with Israel on its most rightful war against terror.”
“I still can’t understand the ‘glee’ these perpetrators exhibit when committing their crimes – it is without normal humanity of any kind and is sickening and sick,” a third user commented.
While Hamas confirmed Eitan’s death in December, it’s unclear how the 53-year-old taxi driver was killed. According to his family, Eitan had gone to Kibbutz Be’eri to drop off a passenger when he was caught in the Hamas attack. It’s believed that Hamas terrorists either prevented him from leaving the area or his cab was hit by a drone missile.
Eitan’s remains are still being held in Gaza.
