Chaos erupted in New York City as protesters surged toward the United Nations building during a march titled “Flood Manhattan for Lebanon.” Defying orders to stay off the roadway, demonstrators- some of whom were waving Hezbollah flags- pushed through the streets before being met with force by the NYPD. Officers blocked their path, throwing some protesters to the ground and arresting dozens as tensions escalated.

The protest, which aimed to draw attention to the situation in Lebanon, saw the city’s streets transformed into a battleground between law enforcement and pro-Hezbollh activists.
