Controversial documentarian Michael Moore has launched a blistering attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, demanding she abandon support for Israel to appease Arab American voters in Michigan.

“Since Israel’s invasion of Gaza a year ago, the Arab vote in Michigan for Joe Biden — and now you — has tanked,” Moore wrote in a lengthy Substack post, citing polls showing support plummeting from 70% to as low as 12%.

To regain favor with Michigan’s Arab American community, estimated at 200,000 to 300,000 voters, Moore proposed a radical shift in US policy. His suggestions included pledging to end the war in Gaza without preconditions, providing unrestricted humanitarian aid, and conditioning support for Israel on compliance with international laws.

“Vice President Harris: Your perceived silence and lack of action, your lack of a plan, your continued repetition of the party line — ‘We are close to a ceasefire!’ — as if it’s just around the corner when we all know, because we all know Bibi, that that is not going to happen — rings hollow,” Moore charged.

“Now, please, let’s make sure you win by winning the state of Michigan! Let our Arab and Muslim neighbors hear that you are with them in standing for peace and for creating a new way.”

Notably absent from Moore’s analysis was any mention of Hamas, the Iranian-backed terrorist organization responsible for the October 7, 2023 attack that killed 1,200 Israelis and sparked the current war. Instead, Moore focused solely on Palestinian casualties, relying on unverified figures from Gaza’s Hamas-controlled health ministry.

As progressives such as Moore push for a more hostile stance towards America’s closest ally, the Harris campaign faces mounting pressure to maintain traditional diplomatic positions while appeasing its left flank. Recent polling indicates a tightening race in Michigan, with an AARP survey showing former President Donald Trump leading Harris by a single point (49%-48%) in a hypothetical matchup.
