Former hostage Noa Argamani and her father Yaakov prayed and placed pictures of Israeli hostages at the Ohel grave of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in New York, nine months after her father prayed there for her return. The first poster she placed was of her boyfriend Avinatan Or, who was captured at the same time as her which was featured in video of their kidnapping, which became one of the prominent symbols of October 7.

“Their love was even bigger than Romeo and Juliet’s,” Avinatan’s mother Ditza Or recently told JBN. “Avinatan’s love for Noa dictated his decisions that day. I was told by witnesses who escaped that he had an opportunity to escape. He’s a very strong guy, a very fast runner and the type of guy who was very well trained from the army. But he stayed with Noa to protect her and would never abandon her. He followed her with the men who took her in the motorcycle so that she wouldn’t be left alone. He followed his Juliet into captivity and now I need him home.”

The other posters are those of killed hostages Yossi Sharabi and Itay Svirsky who were killed right next to her. “I saw death with my eyes,” she recently recounted to PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
