During a meeting in Washington with hostage families, which included former hostage Noa Argamani and PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Argamani recounted her time in captivity. She shared, “One of the hardest things I experienced in captivity was hearing you say on the radio that the war would be long.”
Argamani told Netanyahu that this statement made her lose hope of seeing her sick mother again and returning home alive. She also described a harrowing moment when two hostages who were with her were killed, saying she “literally saw death right there before her eyes.”
