Newly uncovered evidence has exposed the depravity of Hamas terrorists who went on a looting spree last month, plundering millions of dollars from banks across the Gaza Strip.
Internal papers drafted by a Hamas official code-named “Abu Jihad,” obtained by Israeli intelligence, admit the brazen bank jobs were motivated by bailing out the terror group’s flailing finances amid a self-inflicted economic crisis.
No sector of Gaza’s ruined economy was off limits from Iran’s backed proxy. The heists included an audacious $70 million score pilfered from Gaza’s largest private bank, the Bank of Palestine – a leading Arab financial institution established in 1960 by the local al-Shawa family.
While Israeli authorities continue extreme efforts to provide aid for the very Arab civilians that Hamas deliberately uses as human shields, the terrorists instead orchestrated a mass plundering totaling over $108 million from Gaza’s banks.
“While the residents of Gaza are experiencing an economic and social crisis, Hamas—without any hesitation—is stealing from civilians for the sake of its survival and the survival of its members,” IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X.
Any pretense of financial stewardship was discarded as Hamas outright looted the territory’s dwindling economic resources to sustain their corrupt terrorist bureaucracy and bankroll future jihadi wars of attrition against Israel.
For those who reflexively defend Hamas’ indiscriminate terror campaigns against the Jewish state, this mass pillaging of internationally given funds at the direct expense of the starving Arab residents should spark a long-overdue moral reckoning.
