After 14 months of war and devastating losses to its leadership ranks, Hamas may be finally ready for a ceasefire agreement that would see some of the hostages they brutally took on October 7 return to Israel.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Hamas has made two unprecedented concessions that could finally break the diplomatic deadlock. Specifically, the Iranian-backed terrorist group has agreed to Israeli forces remaining in the Philadelphi corridor and the Netzarim corridor, which cuts through the enclave. Hamas has also conceded that it would relinquish any operational presence or control over the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza.
Join the JBN+ WhatsApp GroupDeveloped through Egyptian mediation with strong U.S. backing, the proposal on the table outlines a 60-day cessation of hostilities. During this period, up to 30 hostages would be freed, including American citizens, women, elderly individuals, and those with medical conditions. In return, Israel would be required to release an unspecified number of dangerous Arab prisoners and allow an increased flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Hamas’ newfound flexibility follows significant setbacks, including the October killing of leader Yahya Sinwar, who had demanded that any deal must include both a complete end to the war and a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. According to sources familiar with the situation, Hamas is currently operating under a collective leadership until Sinwar’s successor is chosen.
Additional pressure has come from President-elect Donald Trump, who recently warned on Truth Social that there would be ‘hell to pay’ in the Middle East if the hostages aren’t released before he assumes office in January.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has expressed optimism about the prospects for an agreement.
‘For months, we believe Hamas was waiting for lots of other actors and forces to come to their rescue,’ he said. ‘After the Israel-Lebanon cease-fire, we had a different character to the negotiation, and we believe that it puts us in a position to be able to close this negotiation.’
Sullivan is now headed to Qatar and Egypt to further advance the negotiations.
While Netanyahu’s office has declined to comment directly on the negotiations, the Prime Minister has acknowledged that there were ‘certain developments’ in the cease-fire talks, though he cautioned it was premature to determine if a deal was within reach.
Of the 100 hostages still in Gaza, at least 30 are believed to be deceased according to Israeli assessments. The majority of those remaining are Israeli citizens, though some hold dual nationality.”

It us but sad and brutal, for a human being to be so cruel toward another being like himself, for their own self-destruct.
Terrorists are human beings gifted living souls, who has mothers and families, it is but a malign invisible Luciferian dictating force they allowed to control their behaviors and emotional outcomes.
But Israel and her leadership has been very patient and empirical in her approach, as we prayed for Israel’s Divine interventions from beginning of this unnecessary loss of life, HASHEM (GOD) in MESSIAH to allow Israel as a sovereign nation their peace and prosperity.
When you see the these barbarians do to their own people and unleashed on Israelis and anyone in Israel in the vicinity of their terror parade, it is even more gut wrenching to wait every day to wake up every day missing a part of your universe.
The extra layer of despair comes from knowing that International organizations like the red cross have no f*cks to give about these hostages. There is no unanimous public outrage and concern, there is no empathy. There is nothing done to make sure they are not being starved, abused, sexually assaulted…No attempts to make sure they have medical care, medicine they made need that they were taking, wellness checks for the babies. While Israel vaccinated Gazans who is fighting to make sure the babies being held are getting immunized…There is not even a confirmed number of those still alive. They won’t say how many or who. They won’t return the bodies of the dead so they can rest in peace.
AND THERE ARE CRICKETS in the public discourse or consideration of these humans. If only the world saw them as African schoolgirls? When you see the these barbarians do to their own people and unleashed on Israelis and anyone in Israel in the vicinity of their terror parade, it is even more gut wrenching to wait every day to wake up every day missing a part of your universe.

What is the red cross in the first place? They are more a man-made of immoral compromising opportunists and back biters like the rest of them.
It’s a pity to hear people calling for negotiations to free just 30 hostages,it’s absurd and disheartening to hear such. Those hostages are innocent human beings for God’s sake ,free all of them and allow them to join their families and friends. From inception of this war against terrorism, Israel has been requesting for the release of the hostages but deaf ears was turned towards their request, with so many lives lost and civilians passed through pains and agony, the idiots are now agreeing to release just 30 hostages in exchange for terrorists in prisons.I expected the whole world to order the release of all the hostages first before even listening to those criminal terrorists that are animals in human skin.
