Hamas has announced a new lethal policy regarding the remaining Israeli hostages still being held in Gaza.
In a Tuesday post on Telegram, Hamas spokesperson Abu Obaida announced that, just like the 6 hostages who were brutally executed this weekend, it will now kill hostages if Israeli forces get too close.
“Let it be clear to everyone that new instructions have been issued to the Mujahideen tasked with guarding the prisoners,” Obaida said. “These instructions outline how to handle the situation if the occupation army approaches the location where the prisoners are being held.”
Initially claiming the six hostages identified as Goldberg-Polin, 23; Eden Yerushalmi, 24; Ori Danino, 25; Almog Sarusi, 25; Alexander Lobanov, 32; and Carmel Gat, 40 died in airstrikes, Hamas now admitted to killing them while still attempting to shift blame onto Israel.
“Netanyahu and the occupation army alone bear full responsibility for the deaths of the prisoners. They deliberately obstructed any prisoner exchange deal for their own narrow interests,” he said. “Netanyahu’s insistence on liberating the prisoners through military pressure instead of concluding a deal will mean that they will return to their families inside coffins, and their families will have to choose whether they are dead or alive.”
Most befittingly of a “resistance” group who has a passion for psychological torture, Hamas later released videos of the final moments before the six were shot at point-blank range. It is believed that 97 abducted on Oct. 7 remain in captivity, including the bodies of at least 34.
