Hamas has confirmed that its leader in Lebanon, Fath Essharif, was killed during an Israeli airstrike in the southern region of the country. Essharif was also the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) teachers association in Lebanon. UNRWA knew that he was a terrorist, but chose to put him on administrative leave instead of firing him.
