Israel has openly admitted that it is running low on critical resources to continue fighting Hamas.

“The amount of tanks and ammunition that exists in the Armored Corps is not sufficient, both for the war effort and for conducting training sessions at the same time. Similarly, the state said the amount of ammunition is very limited,” an IDF spokesperson said on Monday.

“We are constantly working to expand the scope of the ammunition, but it is not possible at this stage to prepare to begin training on time, since it is not possible to guarantee that there will be enough tools and ammunition to meet the required goals.”

The announcement comes after a motion brought before the Supreme Court by a coalition of female IDF soldiers demanding to be deployed to the front lines. These brave women were instrumental in repelling terrorists from communities overrun during Hamas’ unprovoked attack on October 7.

In Israel, both men and women over the age of 18 are required to serve in the IDF, with approximately 7% female soldiers serving in combat roles. However, since October 7, Israel has refrained from deploying women into the death pits of Gaza, instead delegating them to crucial support roles close to the front lines, such as medical, logistics, and intelligence units.

Besides weaponry, Israel is running very low on manpower as the now nine-month war has claimed the lives of hundreds of enlisted male soldiers. Since October 7, 681 soldiers have been killed and over 4,100 hospitalized with physical injuries and mental trauma.

In a desperate attempt to fill its ranks, the IDF has been conducting extraordinarily large recruitment drives in the Orthodox Jewish community. Approximately 1,800 Yeshiva students have already been drafted, with 3,000 more expected to be recruited over the next year.

It’s past time for the Ultra Orthodox in Israel to start pulling their own weight. It’s just as possible to pray in the army as it is to sit in a yeshiva all day.

But when the army insists on making army traing include female soldiers, trainers – since ideology trumps practicality the eyes of the enlightened ones batteling ideologies of 100 years ago – if u even know about this, , expect haredis to be ready to sit in jail before sitting in a tank next to a female soldier. Give them their full setting of adherence to their religious standards, including their standard of kosher food, enlistment b/w 20 & 25, & other aspects of haredi life u prob don’t know anything about, and see half their ranks show up on their own. But the ideologues are so open minded today they will force their mindset on others, in typical kolchoz founders thinking. Look up kolchoz & see if u know the history that dies hard.
