IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi states that Israel is nearing a decision regarding Hezbollah’s daily attacks on northern Israel amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.

“We are approaching the point where a decision will have to be made, and the IDF is well-prepared for this,” Halevi remarked during a meeting with military officials and Fire Commissioner Eyal Caspi at an army base in Kiryat Shmona.

Halevi emphasized that for the past eight months, the IDF has been striking Hezbollah, inflicting significant damage. “Hezbollah has intensified its activities in recent days, and we are ready, following extensive training, to move towards an offensive in the north,” he said.

“Our defense is strong, our readiness to attack is high, and we are nearing a decision point,” he added.

Halevi and Caspi later visited firefighters who have been battling large fires in northern Israel, many of which were caused by Hezbollah’s rocket and drone attacks over the past two days.
