Seven Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists, including members of a cell responsible for a roadside bomb that killed Cpt. Alon Sacgiu HY”D last week, were killed during a raid in Jenin, the military says.

Troops from the Duvedevan commando unit and Kfir Brigade’s Haruv reconnaissance unit conducted the raid based on Shin Bet intelligence. They surrounded a building where Hammam Hashash and another suspect in the June 27 bomb attack were hiding, using a “Sir Lachatz” (pressure cooker) tactic to force them out. Both were killed.

A third member of the bomb cell was killed by Border Police troops earlier. During the operation, troops clashed with other gunmen, and a drone strike targeted an armed cell. In total, seven gunmen were killed, according to the IDF and Arab media.
