The IDF has announced that Ahmed Hassan Salameh a-Swarkeh, a commander in Hamas’s elite Nukhba force was eliminated during a recent airstrike in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza.

A-Swarkeh, a commander in part responsible for the October 7 terror attacks and subsequent sniper assaults on Israeli troops in Gaza, was tracked by the IDF for an extended period. Troops from the 414th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit identified him, leading to an Israeli Air Force drone strike that killed him.

The military confirmed that precautions were taken to avoid civilian casualties, and no civilians were harmed in the operation.
