Israel has confirmed that the top Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr has been eliminated in Beirut.
In a targeted elimination operation on Tueaday, fighter jets struck in the Beirut area, guided by intelligence information from the Military Intelligence Directorate, and eliminated Fuad Shukr, “Seyed Mohsin,” the most senior military commander in the terrorist organization Hezbollah and head of the organization’s strategic array. Additionally, Mohsin served as the right-hand man and advisor on planning and war management to the Secretary-General of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah.
Mohsin managed Hezbollah’s fight against the State of Israel since October 8 and was responsible for the murder of children in Majdal Shams and the murder of many Israeli and foreign civilians over the years.
As the head of Hezbollah’s strategic array, he was responsible for most of the organization’s most advanced weaponry, including precision missiles, cruise missiles, shore-to-sea missiles, long-range rockets, and unmanned aerial vehicles. As part of this, he was responsible for the buildup, planning, and execution of all terrorist activities against Israel.
Mohsin joined Hezbollah in 1985 and since then has held various senior positions in the organization. In his role, he was a member of the Jihad Council, Hezbollah’s senior military forum.
In the 1990s, he promoted attacks against IDF forces and the South Lebanon Army, and in 2000 he was directly involved in the kidnapping of the bodies of three soldiers: Sergeant Benjamin Avraham, Sergeant Adi Avitan, and Sergeant Omar Suad, who were killed by Hezbollah terrorists while patrolling along the fence near the Har Dov area. Since then, he planned and directed numerous offensive terrorist activities that harmed innocent people.
Israel is investigating whether Esmail Qaani, the commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force — a division primarily responsible for terror and clandestine operations, who succeeded General Qasem Soleimani as Commander of the Quds Force, was also killed in the Beirut attack.
