A post showing an explosive hidden inside a baby stroller in an Arab neighborhood in Judea and Samaria is going viral.
“Palestinian terrorists exploit the civilian population and exploit roads and infrastructure, but the ones who pay the price are the citizens. It’s time for the population to tell these terrorist thugs, ‘Enough, stay away from us,'” IDF spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee wrote alongside the photo.
Following an uptick of violence in Judea and Samaria, the IDF has been conducting major counterterror operations in the area. Dubbed “Operation Summer Camp,” the raid has targeted the Jenin refugee camp, Nur al-Shams camp in Tulkarm, El Fara camp in northwestern Samaria, and the nearby village of Tubas.
Israel has seen an uptick in bombings over the past couple of weeks, sparking fears of a third intifada. On Monday morning, the IDF discovered a car bomb intended to target a school bus full of children from the small town of Ateret. The 110-pound explosive, consisting of two gas canisters set to detonate remotely, was designed to cause maximum damage. A manhunt for those responsible is underway.
Since October 7, Israeli security forces have arrested approximately 5,000 wanted terror suspects in Judea and Samaria of whom 2,000 are active Hamas members.
