When it comes to Middle-East diplomacy, it’s best to act from a position of strength. Over the past few months alone, the IDF has struck deep into the heart of Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and now Syria, sending shockwaves through Iran’s terror proxies.

In the latest display of its far-reaching military prowess, Israel unleashed a barrage of precision strikes on Damascus early Tuesday morning. Syrian air defenses lit up the night sky in a futile attempt to intercept the incoming missiles, as explosions rocked the capital. Three deaths and nine injuries have been reported by state-run SANA News agency.

In a separate attack overnight, Israeli fighter jets struck an Iranian base in eastern Syria along with multiple weapons caches and warehouses. The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports 19 pro-Iranian militia members were killed in the strikes, with 18 more injured. Casualties included seven Syrian nationals, nine Iraqis, and three “non-Syrians” of unspecified nationality.

The targets reportedly included an IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) guesthouse in Al-Heri village, two weapons caches in Al-Hizzam, a warehouse in Al-Suwaiyah, IRGC regional headquarters in Deir Ezzor, and a radar facility. These latest operations follow a string of successful IDF missions, including the elimination of a top Hamas operative in southern Syria and strikes on weapon transfer routes along the Syria-Lebanon border.

“We will continue to strike and act against Hezbollah’s attempts to arm itself and transfer weapons into Lebanon from Syrian territory,” a military spokesperson stated. “The IDF is continuing to operate to dismantle and degrade Hezbollah’s capabilities and terrorist infrastructure.”

Critics may decry Israel’s aggressive military policy, but regional experts argue it’s the only language bad actors in the Middle East truly understand.
