The Israel Defense Forces has finally released its long-awaited investigation over how it failed to prevent the deadly Oct. 7 attack by Hamas that saw 1,200 innocent people brutally murdered and 251 taken hostage.
Disturbingly, the IDF received multiple warning signs over several years but dismissed them as “unrealistic and unfeasible.” The investigation confirmed Hamas decided to launch the attack in April 2022 and had already reached 85% readiness by September 2022. Hamas chose to carry out its assault during a Jewish holiday in order “to shatter Israel’s sense of security” and trigger “an all-out war aimed at destroying Israel.”

Sinwar’s lack of participation in two prior skirmishes between Hamas and Israel led them into ignoring signs that he was gathering resources to launch a massive attack. Even intelligence chiefs skeptical of Sinwar’s intentions remained too focused on Hamas’ rocket capabilities rather than prepare for a ground invasion.
When the attack began, the Gaza Division which was responsible for protecting southern Israel was completely overwhelmed with just 767 IDF troops facing approximately 5,000 Hamas terrorists.
“This is our learning process. I have received letters and responses, even from people here, saying ‘You…’ and I have no problem with that. I embrace it. My responsibility is mine,” IDF chief of staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi acknowledged on Thursday.
“I was the commander of the military on October 7, and I have my own responsibility. I also carry the weight of all your responsibility – that, too, I see as mine. And when I see any of my subordinates who made mistakes, I see my own share in it as well.”
Unfortunately, this is not the first report suggesting Israel could have prevented the worst butchery of Jews since the Holocaust.
A separate probe by Israel’s Military Intelligence Directorate found that IDF observers witnessed a large-scale Hamas military drill on October 3 simulating the very rocket strikes and infiltration raids that would ultimately devastate Israeli civilians and take hostages four days later. However, these ominous training exercises involving some 170 terrorists were simply waved off by security sources as “just another exercise” routinely conducted by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Other investigations have found that on the morning of the attack, IDF intelligence monitors detected Israeli SIM cards activated by Hamas, leading to a situation assessment call with the military chief of staff. Acting Chief of the Military Intelligence Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva did not participate in the call as he was still on vacation in Eilat at the time.
I recall the reason for your own homeland was to avoid holocaust, we’ll, think again, you have “generously” shared your “homeland” with thousands of palestinians who I can see were strategically planted there, not only that, they got paid for that, they “all” corporately had a plan. They sat with this plan for hundreds of years, not to mention pre Hitler, which by the way was the Islamists plan too. Mean Kempf was proudly their story and scripted it, the way you hold it to your heart and mind as a memorial victory. These Islamists planned Iran head there, surrounded by enemy Qatar and so on. I heard of this for decades that they will take over the world, but…. first the Jews, we all know why, Qatar has planted these extremists into “refugee status” because they can read you like a book. Yes “bleeding hearts” that’s how they r3ad you. This octopus has many, many tentacles. Iran is just one to overcome, it is Houties and of course the infamous Ataris. Now you have to deal with these oil rich Arabs who have advanced so highly and so widely, this has to take supernatural strength and might. You need to put all your concentrations on them. Each one has their own strategy. The holocaust is child play compared to what can be ahead.
