The IDF entered Al Jazeera’s offices in Ramallah, located in Judea and Samaria, early Sunday, ordering the closure of the bureau for 45 days. This move is part of Israel’s broader crackdown on the Qatar-funded network amid its ongoing biased and inflammatory coverage of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

Al Jazeera aired live footage of Israeli troops delivering the shutdown order, which comes after a similar action in May. In that incident, Israeli police raided Al Jazeera’s East Jerusalem office, seizing equipment and blocking broadcasts and websites in Israel. This marked the first time Israel had closed a foreign news outlet in the country.

The shutdown follows accusations by Israeli authorities that Al Jazeera’s coverage of the conflict has been biased and inflammatory. Officials claim that the network’s Arabic-language broadcasts have incited violence and worsened tensions, particularly during Israel’s fight against Hamas in Gaza. Al Jazeera has denied these allegations.
