An in-depth investigation has revealed a troubling trend within the New York Times’ hiring practices.
According to the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA), the Times has repeatedly employed writers with a history of expressing antisemitic views and demonstrating a clear bias against Israel.
Join the JBN+ WhatsApp GroupThe most recent addition to the Times’ roster is Bora Erden, who was hired right to cover the Gaza war. However, a closer examination of Erden’s background reveals a disturbing pattern of anti-Israel activism. In May 2021, he signed an antisemitic letter titled”The Palestinian Struggle Against Israeli Colonial rule,” following Hamas rocket attacks on southern Israel at the time.
Further investigation by CAMERA reveals that Erden was also a signatory to another letter titled “Palestine is There A Problem” that not only attacked Israel but also celebrated academic censorship, particularly in relation to the Jewish state. The letter’s authors used antisemitic euphemisms to lament the fact that some American universities still provide students with equal viewpoints on the longstanding Israeli-Arab conflict.
However, Erden is not the only Times writer with a history of antisemitic sentiments.
One reporter charged Israel with “murder” following a precision strike killing a Hamas commander, while another denied that Hezbollah and Hamas are terror organizations. Perhaps most shockingly, the Times commissioned a journalist who had posted on social media, “How great you are, Hitler,” shortly after the devastating October 7 massacre.
The New York Times’ gross disregard for the antisemitic views held by some of its writers raises serious questions about its ability to provide fair coverage on Israel’s defensive war against Hamas. By repeatedly hiring journalists with a clear anti-Israel agenda, the Times is not only undermining its own credibility but also contributing to the dangerous spread of antisemitic narratives to its millions of readers.
What did you expect? They never tell the truth to the public neither are they prepared to accept the beauty, honesty and integrity of the Jewish nation. They twisted every thing so that they can sell their lies.
