Iran’s IRGC Chief Issues Ominous Threats as U.S.-Israel Tensions Climb

In a chilling warning issued today, Hossein Salami, commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), threatened both the United States and Israel with severe consequences should either country take hostile action against the Islamic Republic.

“If you make even one wrong move, we will open the gates of hell on you,” Salami declared, warning that Iran is fully prepared for a major confrontation.

The threat comes amid rising tensions over Iran’s nuclear program. While three rounds of negotiations between Washington and Tehran have taken place in recent weeks, a planned fourth round has now been postponed indefinitely—further deepening the diplomatic impasse.

Salami’s comments were also seen as a direct response to recent remarks by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who stated that Iran must choose between peacefully dismantling its nuclear program or facing its destruction.

In Israel, Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a forceful response, shifting blame from Iran’s regional proxies directly to the regime itself. “The era of proxies is over,” Katz said. “The axis of evil has collapsed. Iran, you are directly responsible. What we did to Hezbollah in Beirut, to Hamas in Gaza, to Assad in Damascus, and to the Houthis in Yemen—we will do to you in Tehran.”

The escalating rhetoric underscores the fragility of the current geopolitical climate in the Middle East. With diplomacy stalled and threats flying from all sides, many fear the region may be edging closer to open conflict.
