Renowned Israeli singer Ishay Ribo sang at the shiva for Omer Neutra, bringing solace to the grieving family. Attendees joined Ribo in singing his heartfelt song “Halev Sheli/ My Heart.”

The IDF confirmed the death of Captain Omer Neutra, a 21-year-old lone soldier from New York, who was killed and abducted by HamXs during the October 7, 2023, attack.

Neutra, a tank platoon commander in the 7th Armored Brigade’s 77th Battalion, lost his life in a battle with terrorists near the Gaza border. His body is still being held hostage by HamXs.

The gathering prayed for Omer’s memory to be a blessing and for his body, along with all hostages—alive and deceased—to be returned for a dignified burial soon.
