Israel’s Foreign Ministry issued a travel warning for Israelis planning on going to South Africa as relationships between the two countries have broken down, reports Ynet.

The travel warning also extends to Israelis already in the African nation who are urged to “maintain vigilance and avoid congregating,” per the report.

South Africa has taken significant legal action this year against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing the Jewish State of committing acts of genocide against Arabs in Gaza.

The ICJ, responding to South Africa’s request, has ordered provisional measures against Israel. These measures include Israel taking all actions within its power to prevent committing “genocide” and taking measures to enable humanitarian relief to Gaza.

Last Thursday, at the behest of South Africa, the ICJ demanded that Israel take stronger action in distributing aid, as it says Gaza is now in a state of famine.

“The court observes that Palestinians in Gaza are no longer facing only a risk of famine, but that famine is setting in,” the ICJ judges declared in their order.

“The catastrophic living conditions of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have deteriorated further, in particular in view of the prolonged and widespread deprivation of food and other basic necessities to which the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been subjected.”

For its part, Israel says it places no restrictions on the amount of humanitarian aid allowed into Gaza and has recently added resources dedicated to distributing aid to Gazans.
