0 commentsIsrael’s Foreign Ministry revoked the credentials of eight Norwegian diplomats on Thursday following the country’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state.
The affected Norwegian diplomats have been given one week before their credentials are officially revoked, with their visas set to be canceled in three months. However, Israel has left room for potential reconciliation, allowing the diplomats to reapply for new credentials before their visas expire.
“There is a price for anti-Israeli conduct. Instead of fighting Palestinian terrorism after October 7 and supporting Israel’s fight against the Iranian axis of evil. Norway chose to award the murderers and rapists of Hamas in the form of recognition of a Palestinian state,” Foreign Minister Israel Katz said in a statement.
“Norway conducts a unilateral policy on the Palestinian issue. Therefore, I ordered the termination of any representation toward the Palestinian Authority on behalf of the Norwegian embassy in Israel. Those who attack us and conduct a unilateral policy against us will pay a price.”
However, Israel’s anger towards Norway extends beyond credential revocation. On Wednesday, Israel terminated an escrow agreement with Norway used to transfer tax funds to the Palestinian Authority.
Norway’s stance on the Gaza war has long been a point of contention for Israel. Foreign Minister Espen Eide has consistently critiqued Israel’s defensive actions, despite acknowledging Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas. Norway supported an unconditional UN ceasefire resolution immediately following Hamas’ October 7 massacre and has also expressed support for the International Court of Justice “genocide” case against Israel.
In May, Norway formally recognized a Palestinian state along with Spain and Ireland. It remains to be seen if Israel will respond in a similar manner to the latter countries.

Israel should recognize The right of the Sami peope in the north for self determination and an independent territory since Norway keep robing them of their land and resources, push for independence of Catalonia in Spain’s , as for the Irish ? Their brains has been damaged after years of heavy whiskey consumption on the genetic level. Therefore cannot rule themselves. England should take over.
