Israel has reportedly sent back around 55 Arab detainees to the Gaza Strip, including Mohammad Abu Salmiya, the director of Shifa Hospital.

Abu Salmiya was detained by the IDF in November on suspicion of allowing the hospital to be used by Hamas as an operations center. Israel frequently returns detainees to Gaza after confirming they are not linked to terrorist activities.
