A youth choir comprised of Israelis and Arabs captivated the world this week during an inspiring audition on America’s Got Talent.
Calling themselves the Jerusalem Youth Chorus, the diverse group of young singers took the stage during Tuesday’s episode and delivered a stirring rendition of Phillip Phillips’ “Home” that transcended bitter tensions over the ongoing war in Gaza.

The judges’ responses were overwhelmingly positive. Howie Mandel, visibly moved, declared, “I got those same goosebumps. This is a world anthem, we all live on this planet together and thank you so much for appearing on that stage.”
Sofia Vergara echoed the same sentiment, describing the audition as “spectacular and heartwarming” and a “treat” for the show.
Even the typically critical Simon Cowell was won over, stating, “I love this audition. You made something very complicated beautiful through friendship.”
Perhaps AGT host Terry Crews best captured the moment’s significance best, thanking the teens for their role as “beacons of hope” for the world.
With four enthusiastic “yes” votes, the Jerusalem Youth Chorus secured their place in the next round of the competition, proving that music can indeed be a universal language of peace and understanding.
