It has been cleared for publication that a joint operation by the Shin Bet, the IDF, and the Israeli police’s Gideonim Unit has led to the arrest of a large terrorist cell comprised of students from the Hamas cell at Bir Zeit University located near Ramallah, known as “Katla Islamiya.”

The Gideonim Unit apprehended the cell members, who had been planning a significant attack. It is believed they were acting under the direction of the Hamas command in Turkey, aiming to establish a framework for Hamas military activity against Israelis.
