The funeral of Hersh Goldberg-Polin is scheduled to take place in Jerusalem today at 4 PM local time.

Hersh was one of six hostages, including Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Ori Danino, who were captured by Hamas during the October 7 massacre that sparked the Gaza war.

Earlier this year, Hamas released a video of the 23-year-old with part of his left arm missing. In the video, Hersh spoke in Hebrew, mentioning he had been held captive for almost 200 days and urged his parents to stay strong.

Tragically, Israeli forces discovered the bodies of Hersh and the five other hostages in a Rafah terror tunnel on Saturday. According to the IDF, they had been shot dead between 48-72 hours before their discovery.

The news of their deaths prompted a massive boycott and widespread protests, with at least half a million people demonstrating against the government in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
