0 commentsA Michigan community theater’s production of “The Diary of Anne Frank” drew an unwelcome audience Saturday night when approximately ten Neo-Nazis showed up waving swastika flags outside the venue.
The protesters, described by witnesses as twenty-somethings in masks, positioned themselves outside the American Legion building in Livingston County where the Fowlerville Community Theatre was performing the Holocaust drama.

The Legion staff—an organization of U.S. military veterans—promptly removed the protesters from their property and briefed audience members during the intermission, noting that the cast continued the play “with strength and professionalism.”
Bobby Brite, the Legion’s past commander who captured video of the incident, offered some characteristically blunt advice: “This is the kind of crap you have to deal with,” he said, suggesting motorists “just drive on by, ignore ’em.”
